Zen Ultraphone U1 Review

The fact is quite well known to all of us that Samsung, Apple, and HTC are the biggest players in the smartphone sphere; but it is also true that in the domestic market the battle is quite fierce for supremacy in the budget smartphone segment, starting from 4K and going till 15K limit. Top domestic players being: Spice, Micromax, Karbonn, and Lava; and now there is another player in the fray – Zen Mobiles- and the product is going to be known as Ultraphone U1. Let’s find out what the product is all about.

Zen Ultraphone U1

The handset has a 3.5 inch capacitive screen, 1GHz single core processor, 1200 Li-Ion battery that gives a talk time of 5 hours (arguably), 3.2 MP main camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPRS/EDGE, 512MB of internal memory that can be furthered till 32GB via SD card, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Gyro Sensor, and multitude of preloaded apps like Facebook, Twitter, Opera, Whats App, Office Suit, Just Dial, Crickbuzz, Google Maps, Skype, YouTube. And not to forget Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System.

3.5 inch color rich screen
1GHz fast processor
 Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Plethora of preloaded apps
3.2 MP strong camera with LED flash

Lack of 3G support
Very little internal storage capacity
Feeble battery

The Verdict
After going through all the specs, pros & cons, and keeping an eye on the price tag we come to a conclusion that this handset is worth INR 4999. I strongly recommend the Ultraphone U1, go for it.
