Intel-based tablet on Windows 8 platform will be launched in 2012

Samir Al Schamma, general manager Middle East and North Africa, Intel confirms that a number of Intel-based tablets featuring Windows 8 will be launched in 2012.

Tablet with the combination of the high-performance Intel Atom processors and the new Windows 8 platform will allow for more applications and usage models that today's tablets probably could not handle. Intel promises with Windows 8, users can expect the much more exciting experience. 

Tablet trend came on forefront on 2010 and picked up popularity in 2011 is going to be the most selling portable device in 2012. Till date, Apple iPad is the leader in the tablet world.
