When Nokia Lumia 800 arrived on
the fore, it was rated by most as the best Nokia Smartphone till date, of
course, not without some physical flaws. But when the phone hit the market,
those flaws became monolithic obstacles in the way of the phone’s success; no
need to say that this dented the company in both ways: economically and morale
wise.
In order to rectify the said
doleful fiasco, the Finnish giant Nokia, planned a handset, which will hit the
retail shelves with everything that the Nokia Lumia 800 was missing on. There
were four basic things that the Lumia 900 covered.
Bigger size
When Nokia Lumia 800 appeared it was
a good looking handset with 3.7 inch screen size, which is not a bad size, by
any means; but the other market players like Samsung and HTC were well above
the 4 inch barrier. So the Lumia 800 had to bow its head to the counterparts.
But the big brother, Lumia 900 arrived with a size as big as 4.3 inch. Problem
solved.
Camera on the Front
It is unarguably deemed that
the biggest bottleneck oh the Nokia Lumia 800 was the missing front camera. In
order to solve the problem, Nokia planted a 1.3MP photo snapper on the front
side of the handset.
Stronger Battery
Unlike the Lumia 800, which has
a 1450 mAh battery, the Nokia Lumia 900 comes packed with 1830 mAh battery that
gives the smart handset a marathon work life.
Entrance in the 4G Club
In a country like India where
4G connectivity is in the nascent stage, the thing does not matter that much
but if the handset is sporting 4G it gives the bearer a place in the 4G club,
which is still very small in the country.
As the Nokia Lumia 900 has come
to the country, expectations are very high, and so are the possibilities of it
becoming a major hit, if handled properly. Fingers crossed.
